This type of outdoor education program presents a unique nature-based early childhood education approach. The program introduces children to nature’s classroom on a working farm and helps children learn to connect with nature. With a daily rhythm, the class incorporates nature-based exploration; authentic imaginary play, crafting, teatime, storytelling and building a variety of developmentally appropriate skills. Outdoor play also enhances brain development and strengthens fine and gross motor skills. With the farm serving as our classroom, students immerse themselves in a whole-body sensory experience that gives them a deeper connection with hands-on learning within nature on a working farm.
